Influenced by Barry McGee, Jim Phillips, Mike Lottie, Kevin Walsh, Van Eggers, and other artists rooted in surf and skate culture, my illustrations explore character-driven compositions and imaginative worlds beyond reality. Through playful forms and surreal characters, I aim to recapture the uninhibited creativity of a young mind and push the boundaries of imagination.
Process
Constantly gathering references from everyday life, my surroundings, and the people around me is the foundation of my process. Whether I begin in my sketchbook or digitally, I develop my sketches and color in Procreate before moving into Adobe Fresco, where I use vector brushes to create clean, defined outlines and prepare my illustrations for output.
Takeaway
Illustration is where my love for sketching and design come together. I find a genuine passion in transforming my sketches into functional design assets, bringing my ideas beyond the page and into the real world. As illustration remains one of my favorite parts of the creative process, I look forward to exploring its potential across a wide range of applications and disciplines.
